Increased cargo space
The Ford Explorer gives you plenty of room to pack your items in the SUV. When you have seven passengers in the SUV, you can load groceries in the 18.2 cubic feet of cargo volume. For larger items, you can fold the third row to fit them in 47.9 cubic feet of cargo volume. To pack lots of luggage and sports gear in the SUV, you can fold down both rear rows to take advantage of 87.8 cubic feet of cargo volume. The cargo capacity behind each row of the Explorer bests that of the Hyundai, allowing you to bring more necessities on journeys in your Ford.
More powerful performance
The Ford Explorer offers three powertrain options so you select an optimal amount of power and efficiency. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Palisade has the same engine option for each of its trims. The most powerful engine in the Explorer is the potent 3.0-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine, which achieves up to 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. This engine blows the 3.8-liter engine of the Palisade out of the water. The Palisade engine tops out at just 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.
Enhanced technologies
The Ford Explorer is packed with innovative technologies that improve the driving experience. The SUV has an available 10.1-inch touch screen, which is compatible with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Through the available SYNC® 3 AppLink®, you can also take advantage of Waze and Ford+Alexa, which make your drives more convenient. The Hyundai Palisade lacks many of the features of the SYNC® 3 AppLink®, like Ford+Alexa, so you and your family don’t have as many connectivity alternatives.
