Capability

 
The 2022 Ford Maverick is a small truck, but that doesn't mean that it can't haul and tow with the best of them. At its base level, the truck can haul up to 2,000 pounds when properly equipped. If you want more capability, you can upgrade to the 4K Tow Package and the gas engine to be able to tow up to 4,000 pounds with the proper equipment.
 
We know how much the Maverick can tow, but what about the payload? This truck has a standard 1,500-pound payload capacity in its 4.5-foot bed. This isn’t just any truck bed, either — its multi-position tailgate and FLEXBED™ system lets you insert lumber into special slots to divide the bed for different types of cargo. The designers at Ford came up with the idea after watching families try to load up and stay organized after shopping at furniture and home improvement stores.

Like the rest of the Ford truck lineup, the 2022 Ford Maverick has an interior that's sure to impress. It has plenty of space for a total of five people. Inside of the cabin are plenty of features to make the ride more comfortable for everyone. For example, the optional power moon roof opens the cabin up to the sky.
 
The Maverick also has adaptable storage options for you and your passengers. On the back of the center console is a slot for the Ford Integrated Tether System (FITS). This slot allows you to attach versatile accessories such as extra cupholders, grocery hooks, or a trash bin, to fit your current driving needs.
