The 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine puts out a spirited 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, and it’s paired with a smooth 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission. In addition, the Ranger and its high-strength steel frame can pull up to 7,500 pounds and carry a payload of up to 1,860 pounds when properly equipped, which is enough to handle a good-sized boat, camping trailer or bed full of landscaping materials.
Off-road equipment
The 2020 Ford Ranger boasts plenty of options to help you escape the beaten path. The Ranger is available with the FX4 Off-Road Package, which includes tuned shocks, all-terrain tires, skid plates, an electronic-locking rear differential and four Terrain Management System™ drive modes to help the truck handle rough ground. You can opt for the FX2 Package and get off-road tires and the electronic-locking rear differential along with an off-road suspension.
Advanced infotainment technologies
With the 2020 Ford Ranger, you can get all the technologies you need to stay informed, entertained and connected. The available SYNC® 3 infotainment system comes with an 8-inch touch screen that gives you access to smartphone features and functions using Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. When you’re away from your Ranger, open the available FordPass Connect™ smartphone app to remotely lock, unlock or start the truck.
