When Should I Replace the Wiper Blades?

As a general rule, wiper blades should be replaced every six months.

How Do I Inspect the Wiper Blades?

Examine the edges of the squeegee, too. If the edges are rounded, the blade is probably making poor contact with the windshield and not working well. Every time your stop for gas, wash the windshield and gently wipe the blades down with a paper towel. If you live in an area with cold winters, get in the habit of lifting the wipers away from the windshield to prevent them from getting stuck to the windshield, and never use the wipers to clear ice from the windshield.
