Ford MyKey®
Parents who want to encourage good driving habits in their young driver will enjoy everything Ford MyKey® has to offer. This innovative safety technology features a restricted driving mode. The Belt-Minder® feature reminds front occupants to fasten their seat belts with a six-second reminder chime that goes off every 30 seconds. It also mutes the audio system.
Ford MyKey® also features top speed settings ranging from 65 to 80 mph. The system alerts drivers of their speed with chimes as they reach certain milestones, like 65 mph. While this technology is active, young drivers won’t be able to listen to explicit radio stations either. Drivers will also receive a low fuel warning at 75 miles to empty rather than at 50 miles.
The Ford MyKey® system is ideal for fleet owners too. Utilizing the speed limiter system enables owners to encourage good driving habits while their employees are behind the wheel.
FordPass™ App
When you drive a Ford vehicle, you can download the available FordPass™ App to stay informed and connected to your vehicle. FordPass™ enhances the ownership experience and adds convenience to your daily drives.
FordPass Connect™ allows you to utilize remote features on your vehicle. From the app, you can remotely start your vehicle and even schedule a time to remotely start it. You can also lock and unlock your doors with ease. Plus, you can take advantage of the Vehicle Locator to find your vehicle in case you forgot where you parked it. Even when you’re outside of the vehicle, you can also check the approximate mileage, fuel level and other vitals on the app.
