Ford recently revealed details about SYNC® 4, which is the next generation of its entertainment and communications system. The easy-to-use system has received exciting updates and now features cloud-based connectivity, allowing you to stay informed on drives.
Cloud connectivity
SYNC® 4 connects to the cloud so that you can stay up-to-date on important information. For example, optional navigation utilizes the latest available construction and traffic information, which helps guide you to your destinations. The feature also lets you view the prices and availability of parking spaces. Plus, there’s cloud-based voice processing so you can keep your hands on the wheel while making requests to the system and contacting your family members.
Convenient features
SYNC® 4 comes with Ford+Alexa and Waze, as well as Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® integration. Instead of spending time searching for a cord, you can conveniently access these features wirelessly. You can also use Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® to utilize the system. Convenience Controls, which are enabled by AppLink™, let you control the radio, climate, and lighting with your smartphone. Through the touch screen, you can also play your favorite music and answer phone calls.
SYNC® 4 also has an all-new digital owner’s manual, which has a searchable database full of how-to videos and details about your vehicle’s features. It’s easier to locate the information you need with this manual, instead of a physical manual, which requires you to flip to the right page.
Touch-screen displays
There are a number of touch-screen displays available, depending on the Ford vehicle. However, no matter which version you choose, you can take advantage of the multi-tasking capabilities of SYNC® 4. The 12-inch touch screen even allows you to split up the screen into different windows and quickly view Information on Demand.
