Titans Win a Nailbiter in WSH

After starting the season with 2 straight losses, the Titans extended their win streak to 3 games yesterday, with a crazy 21-17 win over the Commanders.

It was slow, but close throughout, as the Titans’ 7-0 opening game lead was the largest of the day. The Titans were out-gained by the Commanders offensively by 140+ yards, and until the game sealing INT by David Long Jr. on the final play, there were no turnovers. It was a pretty bland game, but not sloppy by any means.

Derrick Henry looked like vintage King Henry that we all know and love, running the ball hard for 100+ yards for the 2nd straight week. When he gets going, the Titans are in good shape.

The Titans were feeling it postgame, as they should’ve been! Titan Up!

RIP Miss Loretta Lynn

Last Tuesday, the country music world lost an icon, as Miss Loretta Lynn passed away at her home in Hurricane Mills, TN at the age of 90. Born in Butcher Hollow, KY in 1932 to a coal miner, Lynn signed her first record contract with Zero Records in 1960, and took off on the country charts, shortly after. By the end of that year, Billboard magazine listed Lynn as the No. 4 Most Promising Country Female Artist. Lynn quickly became the top female country artist in the nation, after debuting at the Grand Ole Opry in 1960.

Lynn was nominated for 18 Grammys and won 3 during his career that spanned 6 decades!

As of 2022, Lynn was the most awarded female country recording artist, and the only female ACM Artist of the Decade (1970s). Lynn scored 24 No. 1 hit singles and 11 number one albums.

Loretta Lynn will be remembered as a pioneer in the country music industry, and as one of the most successful recording artists of all time.

Rest in peace, Miss Loretta Lynn!
