Enter the Vault…

If you’re a Ford lover, which you must be if you’re reading this blog, then head on over to the Ford Heritage Vault RIGHT NOW.

Back in June, Ford released tons of rare and vintage photos on their Ford Heritage Vault site. The response was so strong, that the website crashed from all of the traffic.

Now, an incredible batch of vintage photos of the F-Series trucks was just posted online to recognize the 75th anniversary of the iconic pickup.

The site boasts free access to roughly 9,000 images of classic Ford, Lincoln and Edsel vehicles and vintage sales brochures, including Mustang, Bronco and F-150.

This site and the sharing of such rare and cool photos is an effort on Ford’s part to share their history and the history of the automotive industry with car-lovers, historians, and anyone else who might find themselves in the vault.

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the F-Series, Ford has added tons of historic images, from vehicles dating back to 1947!

Ford says that they plan to add tons of additional images in the coming months, as they digitize, scan, and catalog thousands of vintage pictures that are kept in a temperature-and-humidity-controlled building in Dearborn, MI.

Happy MLK Day to All!

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day to all! Enjoy the day!

NFL Wild Card Weekend Does Not Disappoint

The 49ers got the weekend started, slowly but surely demolishing the Seahawks 41-23. However, the Jags/Chargers game was one that will be talked about for a long time to come.

The Chargers jumped out to a 27-0 lead in the 1st half, after 4 Trevor Lawrence interceptions. If you turned the game off at that point, I don’t blame you. The Chargers were rolling and the Jags magic seemed to have run out.

But boy did Trevor Lawrence have something to say about that…(sorry Titans fans).

They STORMED back, slowly chipping away at that lead, until they suddenly had cut that deficit to 2 points in the 4th quarter. Jags got a stop on the ensuing drive, then proceeded to march down the field, setting up a game-winning 36 yard field goal as time expired.

The 27-point comeback win was the largest in playoff history, and the 3rd largest in NFL history.

I know what you’re thinking…I’m a Titans fan too okay? But it’s hard not to get excited by that. That’s just good football. And if you’re sitting here thinking the Titans should’ve been in that game, give me a break. The Jags CLEARLY deserved that playoff spot, and I can’t help but think that if that were the Titans in there, the Chargers might’ve extended that 27-point lead to about 50…

It’s good football! Enjoy it for the next month, before we lose it for another 6 months!
