Vols Take Care of Business Once Again

It feels like I repeat myself every single week, but on Saturday, the #3 Tennessee Vols dominated yet another opponent, hammering #19 Kentucky 44-6 in Knoxville. The Vols donned their “Dark Mode” black uniforms, making the sold out night game atmosphere in Neyland Stadium, that much more intimidating.

And clearly, it worked.

The Vols absolutely destroyed Kentucky from the very beginning. Heisman hopeful QB Hendon Hooker had another near-perfect 4 TD day, WR Jalin Hyatt broke the UT school record for receiving TDs with his 14th of the year (with 4 games left, might I add), and the Vols forced 3 INTs.

All Vols, all night long.

Next up, the Vols head to Athens, to face off with #1 Georgia in a game that is for all the marbles in the SEC East. If the Vols can win, it would set them up to win the SEC East for the 1st time since 2007.

Derrick Henry DOMINATES the Texans

Sunday, for the 4th time in a row, Titans RB Derrick Henry ran for 200+ yards. In total, he carried the ball 32 times for 219 yards and 2 TDs, giving him a per game average of 223 yards and 2.25 TDs, over the last 4 meetings.

Henry led the way, as rookie QB Malik Willis made his 1st career start, filling in for an injured Ryan Tannehill. The gameplan wasn’t complicated, as Henry was all the offense that the Titans needed to bully a bad Texans team.

King Henry also hit a huge milestone on Sunday, passing Titans legend Eddie George as the franchise all-time leader in touchdowns, with his 74th and 75th coming at Houston.

Congrats, Derrick!

Next up, the Titans head to Arrowhead Stadium for Sunday Night Football, next week, to face off with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Henry will need to bring his best again, if the Titans want to extend their win streak to 6 games on the road. Titan Up!
