Spring has Sprung! (Kinda)

As the weather starts to warm up, and Spring comes into full form, that means 2 things…

  1. Ford Truck Month is here!
  2. It’s time to play ball at Two Rivers Ford Park!

Opening night of Spring ball at Two Rivers Ford Park kicked off last night, and we couldn’t be more excited for this season! We’re thrilled to be the namesake of this fantastic park for the Mt. Juliet community, and are so excited to see so many wonderful members of the community out and about, enjoying the weather, baseball, the park, and the community.

If you missed registration for the Spring league, that’s alright, because you can sign up for the Fall league! Registration will open in mid-June, so mark your calendars so you and the family can get out there and enjoy this wonderful park!

To find out the schedule for registration, or events in the park, visit the Mt. Juliet League on THEIR WEBSITE!

Out of the Park, Citizen of the Month

Do you know someone who is making a difference in the community? Then nominate them for the Wilson County Citizen of the Month!

Each month Devon O’Day and Two Rivers Ford will highlight an honoree in a special Community Spotlight streaming segment to be broadcast on all Main Street Media platforms as well as the Chronicle of Mt. Juliet and Wilson Post Facebook pages.

Additionally, each honoree will be featured the last week of each month in print in The Wilson Post and The Chronicle of Mt. Juliet.

Ford Recognizes the Contribution of Women in the Company

To celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, Ford Motor Company created a video for a Ford Explorer Men’s Only Edition. This satirical version of a classic Ford commercial promotes a fake Ford Explorer. This Explorer does not have many of the features that every modern car can and should have, such as heaters, windshield wipers, turn signals, brake lights and GPS.

What’s the catch, you might ask? Women developed the technology for each of these essentials.Women developed the technology for each of these essentials.

Rather than highlight the amazing capabilities and features of this vehicle, the commercial lists the things that would NOT be in the car, as a tribute to all the amazing women that helped develop so many of the basic luxuries that we take for granted in our cars.

In the caption, Ford wrote that “Women have been a part of the production, engineering, and design of the automobile from the start…It’s time to let people know about it.”
